(Just a description since I saw some people were waiting on one. Hopefully it works for everyone. If something seems wrong for the time period let me know and I'll correct it.)

Down one of the more unassuming streets of Bon Bon sits a quiet two story building. Above its door hangs a wooden sign shaped like a shield and painted with a heraldic crest of a lion. The inside is dark even during the brightest parts of the day. There are two dart boards hanging on the walls to the right and a large fireplace on the left. A single door leads on in the back right corner leads to the building’s lavatory. On the far side is a long bar with stools standing guard in front of it. Wooden tables and chairs fill the space between the front door and the bar. Sitting on a wall mounted plaque behind the bar is a Sharps buffalo rifle, it shows years of use but it is well maintained. The bar has a few selections of Whiskey and usually carries a lager and a stout. There is no menu, although there usually is some fresh bread and cheese available. Coffee and tea can be ordered upon special request only.

Tsavo the bartender is the owner, a towering lion dressed in muted colors. Maneless with two long braids coming down from his chin he’d be considered attractive if it wasn’t for the scar running from the top of his forehead, down his right eye, and ending at his chin. He is polite but laconic, even when he is outside the bar, as if he still hasn’t become comfortable in Bon Bon. He is the only worker in the pub and if he is looking for additional help, chefs, or entertainment he hasn’t said anything to anyone yet.

There is a door behind the bar that leads into a kitchen/storeroom area that is closed to the public. There is a back door that remains locked unless a delivery is expected. The stairs to the second level are also located here. Tsavo lives in one of the four upstairs rooms. The upstairs also contains a full sized bathroom. While it is not common knowledge the other three rooms remain deserted.

Hmm it looks that the Lion's Den could be a nice place to play a few rounds dart on Friday evenings :)

Kinda makes me think of the Tail Underground by Ian Soulfox. Still I like it.

This sounds just perfect, based on the description. I've been to a few small taverns and "English-style" pubs like this. Sort of reminds me of the "Winchester" in Shaun of the Dead, especially the reference to the rifle on display

I do love a good Shaun reference. I think the idea of the Sharps was more along the lines of all the old barkeeps in RPG settings were all ex-adventurers and kept an ax or something above the bar.

The question now is, does your gun work like in Shaun of the Dead?

Absolutely. It'd be a shame to have such a fine gun as a 1874 Sharps and not keep it in working condition.

That does sound like a good place to spend an evening, with a casual game of darts and a good few drinks. I'm no expert on the era, but there doesn't seem to be anything there that's out of place for then.

As long as you've got comfortable seats and strong alcohol, I like it.

Well by 1890 Jameson's was shipped all over the world, so I can go on record saying that is the whiskey that is carried.

Again as the description says no real food menu and nothing to drink besides Whiskey and Beer. There are other places to find the fancy things.

 Jameson's ... Sir, if you can make an Irish Coffee with it you'll have a regular customer :) (I've been to Dublin in April and spent an evening at the St. Jameson's Distillery, they made FANTASTIC Irish Coffee there.)

Playing the Fable II: Pub Games makes me think that the place could use something like that.

Not really. I'm just a regular (and somewhat obsessive) gamer.
