Personality, Questions and Cameos

Ok, Hypathetically say, that I stay with Pleasure Bon Bon for like forever, or until it wraps up, I always have money, never short of it, and hope to become more involved with the community. Then along comes one of the admins. saying "Revan, you've been with us for 6+ months, would you like an avatar of yourself?" I'd probally say sure, and with that discussions would resume with his looks, personality, clothes, ans species. Now to the point

I already have a rendition of an avatar done for me, and quiet well I might say so, since I paid $30 for it, and the guy patiently and diligently drew it for me over the course of like 3 weeks. I would probaly give them a link to its location on the internet and Venesea(hope I got it right darling) would use it as a template and probally have an easier and faster time drawing it. All that would really have to change would be the pants and shoes. Again (Sorry to another point)

I see that many of the Senior Royal Members of the Bon Bon community have characters with happy, free spirited, and high libdo traits. Basically they are all happy furries. But what if you want an avatar that isn't happy, and would hopefully appear in a cameo. Would that happen? I ask this because before I joined Bon Bon, my fursona was a vampire, which everyone would agree exisists in Bon Bon. And even now he's still a vampire (Full Blooded too, but is a black cat, not bat) So how would that play into being in the comic, and would it be possible. I know no one who reads this had any reason to believe that I'll be here for like a long time. But I hope to be, I've just now gotten into the whole forum and online community thing, before that I just passed my time with games and reading, school, work, and the such. But now I have this, and I don't plan on canceling my account with Bon Bon anytime soon.

So anyone reading this, and even the Admins. If you want plz reply, I just can't find any presedense that their might have been a thread hinting at anything like this. I tried using the search option before posting this, but couldn't find anything, and note that I'm terribly sorry if I posted this into the wrong link.

Additional info. my fursona would live in the woods, sleeping in the ground when it is daylight. He's not overly evil, just his instincts, but he's depressing because he's lived for 500 years (380ish for Bon Bon's time).

Well, my impression of how it works is that if your avatar/fursona doesn't fit that well with the rest of Bon Bon, then it's not as easy for Vanessa to make it appear in the comic. I think it depends a lot on what's going on in the comic, but Vanessa is really the only one who can answer this.

Yes. Symphony is correct.

The "cameos" or appearances into the comics is entirely up to Vanessa and is by no means a promise to any member their character will be in the comics. Obviously, we can't change our story too much to force a cameo appearance. The story often calls for 'extras' or additional minor characters to flow the story... So instead of making up random new characters, that are similar existing avatars, we'll try to use Avatars that 'fit' the story elements. Like having a cook... :-) It makes members feel extra special and gets the story moving along still. Kill 2 birds with one stone. :-) something to keep in mind when creating an avatar.

The Avatar pinup is just a nice gesture from us to those who support the site on the conditions of being with the site and forum participation- and keep in mind the time frames. There maybe a long wait to get an avatar. So even if your 6 months roll around and you're qualified, it still depends on the current list of who's up next.

I've yet to see a royal member's avatar made with any vampiric traits (Gantros is part vampire bat, but not really a vampire, if that makes sense). I would only assume (and Vanessa can correct me if I'm wrong) that vampires would fall under the heading of "fantasy creatures" (like unicorns and dragons), and that she's placed an embargo on fantasy creature avatars to keep things simple and make comic cameos a bit easier to handle. That's not to say examples of these fantasy creatures don't exist in the world that BonBon inhabits, they're just so exceedingly rare that they'll likely not make an appearance in the comic. Plus, fantasy creatures would probably be so distracting as to draw attention away from the main romantic storyline and the main characters.

But I don't know, I'm only guessing. Besides, if everyone had vampire or half-vampire characters in here (and I know at least a couple other folks have expressed similar interests as well), I'd almost feel that Scarlett's status as the resident vampire would diminish quite a bit. Then again, perhaps the only place a vampire avatar would logically make a cameo appearance would be Scarlett's comic, and I don't know if there's any plans to put in as many mamber cameos in that comic as there have been in the main BonBon comic.

I'd also like to add that just because we dress in bright colors, smile, eat, drink, and be merry, doesn't mean there is not necessarily any tragedy abound. Johnny above is a prime example, what with the whole Native American corralling and enforced assimilation practices that occurred in the 19th century American West. My own somewhat generic avatar is from an ousted aristocratic family following the establishment of the German Reich. We just get over it. Or do our best to. :P

Besides, it's Bon Bon. When in Bon Bon, do as the... the... er, Bon Bons do? What do you call a resident of Bon Bon? Bonnese? Bons? Bonsai? Bonnettes? Bonnii? ::0wassat::

so count me not in this forum untill im adressed or i forget about the topic...

anyway im thinking of an avatar description for no reason... but while in the shower today i had a vision of what my avatar would look like...
but as being a non descriptive person wihtout massive help... i cant explain what it would look like... either way i need to be a member for over 6 months and + up... First of all i tried to borrow my friend's credit card he said no i need to stop looking at porn at the computer.... so i tried to borrow one from the Prof. He said "the chances of that Mr. Moore are 1 in 23,689,834,233... in other words... no"
Then i tried my momma and she said "YOU WANT MONEY TO GET ON A WHAT SITE!?!?! *Smakes me across the face*" so no one will lend me their credit card for $10... so now im sad more than ever that i wont be able to get on... but i would like to perhaps (when the fine ladies of BonBon and/or the lovely artists here) someone would draw me after i describe my character... but as for... see ya from this post... (unless if i get a reply with my name on it)

Well thank you for all of your replies. I guess I'll just have to edit, or change my fursona in some type or fashion, as well as his sub species. Though Johnny made a good point. There are plenty of cameos in Bon Bon. But not so much, if any in Scarlet Blut comic. Though I have yet to read any of them, since I got to wait a full month to do so. Oct 15 I beleive. Anyway, thanks man, and you too Kommy for making me rethink that maybe not all the characters of bon bon are just happy. Well for now I'll leave anyone who wishes to check back on this a pic. Wow that was a quick reply, I was gone for like 10 min. So does that mean i should stay and maybe eventually get an avatar close to this nature, or should I make a new one? I really like this one. I'm even writing a series on him. got 24 pages so far.

So change him from 380 something years old to like 21, and have some kind of job profession? Like accounting, or Vinyard keeper. Along those lines. I think I know what your saying, though it's a bit vague to me, sorry. My stomach is really hungry. Oh and should I move this discussion, to the general chat thread. I don't wanna get in trouble by ANY body, what would you do?

I personally ask for you guy's help... which i am... Im not dumb but i just dont excell at describing... its always been a curse with me... The RP that i do now im having just a little bit of trouble from impatience and being not very descriptive... (well having impatience is my character... because hes ((i think)) the youngest out of all of them...

Really? Why would you want him to be the youngest one around? I think it'd be better if the where all 21 to 30 personally. Though you must have your reasons

well more agile for one... this is the oldest that the youngest can be... 18... i was thinking of having him like 17 but thats not legal. (in a way) so i made him 18...
either way by being young im not experienced, so that opens a lot of new things for me and my character... Also being young at heart can give some what of an advantage to such things as acting nice, or being a total ass... either way the main reason that my character is 18 is because He's finally out of the country when he can live on his own. And because BonBon is a town of pleasure and sex, and because im young, theres a slight incress of my "chances" (Im not going to be exotic... lack of details and because of not experiencing it yet makes it impossible for me to describe anything of that nature) ((sometimes being 18 has its drawbacks to a full life)) ((((BUT GETTING OLDER SUCKS))))

Its not too hard to convert to the rules of Bon Bon. You can keep the look, be a night owl, and be somewhat antisocial, and keep the fangs and evil look about you, giving the thought of vampirism, just like Gantros, and I still say Ultima too.

As for the happy folks of Bon Bon, its Bon Bon. A fresh start away from the tragedies that life abounds. Hence why we've all come to Bon Bon. If life was peachy, we wouldn't take up shop in or around Bon Bon, now would we?
