This is meant to help the people involved in Project:Aten.I decided to make a separate thread so as not to get things cluddered or drowned out in the support thread.

Insha Allah(IN-SHA-LA):It means "God's will" or "If God wills it".This phrase is used in every Arab conversation pertaining to future events.Arabs do not believe in luck, fortune, fate, etc. instead they believe that God dictates what will happen.

Fakka(FUK-KA):This is the Arabic equivalent to "spare some change?".It is used by beggars and children in areas that have a lot of tourists, washing windshields in heavy traffic, and other ares with lots of people(mostly foreigners)be careful not to mistake the pronunciation for an insult.

Imshi(IM-SHEE):Literally to "take a walk"(go away)it's used when people asking for fakka are bothering you too much. This should work insha Allah.

True, but unlike the other threads these will be read without being drowned out by other things and to top it off I can now add things such as:

Marhaba,As-Salamu 'Alaykum,Baa'ref Arabee Showayya

No problem but to continue on from my previous post:

Marhaba(MAR-HABA): means welcome or hello.

As-Salamu 'Alaykum:Literally "peace be upon you"is the traditional Arabic greeting. It is traditionally answered back with wa 'Alaykum As-Salaam meaning "And upon you be peace".

Baa'ref Arabee Showayya:means "I speak a Arabic a little bit"

Nice job, Mr. DesertWolf.

I will surely use some of Arabic words for my character. Especially the word Marhaba.

Do you think you can post some words that use for insult in a sentence, or maybe some foul language, or for one to joke around. And words for greetings. :3

Nice that you would include a list of swear words. That could come in quite handy.

"Bouse Tizi Kanith!"
"What did he just say?"
"you don't wanna know...basically he said no deal."

Be very careful in using these words.Arab men pride themselves on their honor and cussing at them is only going to anger them.

Also Don't Show the bottom of your feet to an Arab. This is one of the biggest insults in the Arab world. It breaks down like this:Your feet walk through dirt, sand, mud, etc. by showing your sole(s)to someone means they are equal to if not below the stuff you walk upon.

I already knew about the "bottom of the feet" thing, especially since it's come up in world news within the past few years... such as the video footage of Iraqis tearing down the statue of Saddam Hussein in Bagdad a few years ago, the bystanders celebrated and showed their disdain of their former dictator by hitting the statue with their shoes. And more recently, when a protester threw his shoe at former President George W. Bush...

I covered hello with marhaba, and as-asalaamu 'alaykum but you can use salam which means "peace"but is used as a way of saying "hi".

Sabah El-Khair:Good morning

Masaa El-khair:Good evening

Keef halak?(m)/Keef halek?(f):How are you?

Al-Hamdolillah:literally "Thanks to God" it's often used to mean fine(thanks to God).

The (m) and (f) denotes speaking to either a male or female

Isis is Osiris's wife, and queen of the underworld. Osiris is god of the dead, and ruler of the underworld. Anubis is the god of Embalming and judge of the dead.

I got into mythology, like, 12 years ago, when I was seven.I've been working at it ever since, and decided it is one of my minors. My other minors are English literature, German, and Popular culture. My two majors are Psyhcology, and Writing. I"m quite good at my classes.
